The Story
Journal Tvrdja website design solution is to capture art magazines minimalistic black and white representation that's portraying style of old newspapers. Tvrdja web consists of two separate dimensions, one is online repsitory of physical journal series and books by the journal's authors to download and buy (Tvrdja is originally a Croatian culture magazine). Second part brings blog-style articles that are particularly dedicated in exploring themes such as contemporary philosophy, visual arts and political theory with guest articles by the renowned authors in the fields.
Afterwords
Presenting Croatian culture magazine in a online version was the main goal for years. The second idea was to present Tvdja to the international public, since the physical journal is only available in croatian language. With hundreds of new visitors every month, form which more than 30% are international visitors the goal was accomplished, bringing more international collaborations and doubling the number of dowloads of the journal's past numbers.
